Andreessen Horowitz has secured a substantial new funding round of $15 billion. A significant portion of that, $1.7 billion, has been allocated to its infrastructure team. This group manages many of the firm's most notable AI investments, such as Black Forrest Labs, Cursor, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Ideogram, Fal, and numerous others.

Jennifer Li, a general partner with the infrastructure team who oversees investments including the recently $11 billion-valued ElevenLabs, as well as Ideogram and Fal, has outlined a clear vision for deploying this latest capital. Venture and Startups editor Julie Bort speaks with Li on Equity about Andreessen Horowitz's perspective on the ongoing AI super cycle.

Their discussion covers the talent shortage affecting AI-native startups, the underestimated importance of search infrastructure, and the types of companies currently attracting investment.
