Resolve AI Launches with $125M Series A at $1B Valuation to Automate System Reliability Engineering

Resolve AI, a company focused on automating system reliability engineering tasks such as troubleshooting system failures, has secured $125 million in a Series A funding round, achieving a valuation of $1 billion. The investment was spearheaded by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with contributions from existing backers like Greylock Partners, Unusual Ventures, Artisanal Ventures, and A*.
A company representative clarified that the funding did not involve multiple tranches, confirming that all equity was acquired at the full $1 billion valuation. This structure typically enables key investors, often the lead, to obtain a substantial share of equity at a reduced price.
The startup was established in early 2024 by co-founders Spiros Xanthos and Mayank Agarwal, both former executives at Splunk. Their prior venture, Omnition, was purchased by Splunk in 2019.
Another player in this space is Traversal, which is backed by Sequoia and also uses AI to detect and address system outages. This growing field is commonly referred to as AI SRE.
