Anthropic Expands Claude for Startups Program with Free AI Access, API Credits, and Marketplace Perks

Anthropic unveiled an expansion of its Claude for Startups initiative on Tuesday, giving qualifying companies subsidized access to its AI models along with a range of other perks. The revamped program, introduced during Anthropic's SF Tech Week event, includes a complimentary year of Claude Team — Anthropic's paid group plan — with as many as five premium seats, plus $1,000 in API credits for developing with Claude. Participating companies will additionally gain entry to Claude Marketplace, where they can create plugins for the service, and can schedule virtual office hours with Anthropic's Applied AI team.
"We created this program because we believe the benefits of AI will reach most people through the companies that build on top of models, rather than through the models alone," Anthropic stated in its announcement. "That makes partnering closely with founders and developers central to our mission."
To qualify, companies must have been founded within the past five years or have secured funding within the last two years. Those interested can submit applications via the Claude for Startups program page.
