ChatGPT Launches "Your Year with ChatGPT" Annual Review Feature for Users

ChatGPT is introducing its own take on the popular year-end review concept, similar to Spotify Wrapped. The OpenAI-developed chatbot is launching an annual recap feature titled “Your Year with ChatGPT,” which is being made available to qualifying users in certain regions, such as the United States. Additional English-speaking areas where the feature will be accessible include Canada, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.
Access to “Your Year with ChatGPT” is limited to individual consumer accounts and will not be extended to Team, Enterprise, or Education plans. OpenAI describes the experience as “lightweight, privacy-forward, and user-controlled.” Drawing clear inspiration from Spotify Wrapped and similar annual summaries from consumer apps, the feature employs engaging visuals and offers personalized “awards” based on each user’s yearly interactions with ChatGPT. For example, someone who frequently used the chatbot to troubleshoot issues or brainstorm ideas might receive the “Creative Debugger” award.
Additionally, the app generates a custom poem and an image that reflect your key topics of interest over the past year. (It will be interesting to see how this evolves in the future, especially with ChatGPT’s planned expansion into adult content starting in 2026.)
Although the year-end review will be highlighted on the ChatGPT app’s home screen, it will not be automatically opened or forced upon users.
The feature will be accessible through the ChatGPT web app as well as the mobile apps for iOS and Android. Users can also activate the experience simply by asking ChatGPT directly for “Your Year with ChatGPT.”
