Gamma, a platform that enables users to create presentations and websites with AI, is introducing a new image-generation tool designed for crafting marketing materials. This move aims to strengthen its competitive position against rivals such as Canva and Adobe. The new offering, named Gamma Imagine, allows users to generate brand-aligned assets—including interactive charts, visualizations, marketing collateral, social media graphics, and infographics—simply by entering text prompts. Currently, Gamma offers over 100 templates that can be combined with its AI capabilities to produce a wide range of necessary assets.
To support these data-driven asset creation features, the platform is integrating with various tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Make, Zapier, Atlassian, n8n, and Superhuman Go. According to the company, this collaboration has led to the development of a new suite of tools that extends far beyond traditional presentation formats. Gamma's leadership sees the platform occupying a unique niche between professional-grade tools like Adobe or Figma and more conventional options such as Microsoft PowerPoint.
The company believes it can effectively serve the vast number of knowledge workers and business professionals who frequently need to communicate visually but lack specialized design resources. By providing an AI-native solution, Gamma aims to address what it views as a significantly underserved market segment. In November of last year, Gamma secured $68 million in a Series B funding round led by a16z, achieving a valuation of $2.1 billion. At that time, the company reported an annual recurring revenue of $100 million and a user base of 70 million.
