Nvidia and Siemens Partner to Accelerate Chip Design with AI-Powered Digital Twins

At CES 2026, Nvidia revealed a new collaboration with Siemens to enable the company’s electronic design automation (EDA) software to operate on Nvidia GPUs. The goal is to accelerate the chip-design process, which has become increasingly demanding as chip features shrink and transistor counts rise.
Beyond simply speeding up development, the partnership aims to create detailed digital replicas—from individual chips to full server racks—that can be tested virtually before physical production begins.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the long-term vision during the Siemens keynote, stating, “What we are hoping for, and the reason why we’re partnering so closely together, is so that we could build that Vera Rubin in the future as a digital twin.”
