CUDIS, a wearables startup, is introducing its latest series of health rings this week. The new version includes several advanced features, such as an AI “agent coach” intended to help users stay committed to their fitness objectives. The company emphasizes its unique approach, which goes beyond simply providing health data by encouraging healthy habits through a rewards system. Users earn digital “health points” for actions like consistent sleep, reaching 10,000 daily steps, engaging in sports, and interacting with the AI coach. These points can be exchanged in a built-in marketplace for savings on health supplements and related items.
The AI Agent Coach utilizes generative AI to support personalized exercise and wellness plans. According to the company, this agent creates customized programs that cover “daily tasks, recovery protocols, supplement recommendations, and direct referrals to licensed medical professionals.”
Additionally, the ring monitors various body metrics and daily activities, including sleep quality, stress levels, movement, and recovery. This data allows users to understand their impact on Pace of Aging (PoA), indicating whether their body is aging faster or slower than their actual age. The accompanying app has expanded to 250,000 users in 103 countries. “Our strongest markets so far have been North America, Europe, and Asia,” noted Chen. He explained, “The AI detects negative trends, such as ongoing poor sleep, dropping HRV, or a high resting heart rate, and then either recommends lifestyle adjustments or facilitates contact with a professional. The key is guiding users toward appropriate care access.”
The company states that user data is protected through encryption on the Solana blockchain. It has previously been characterized as a “web3 AI wellness company.”
In 2024, CUDIS secured $5 million in seed funding. Draper Associates led this round, with participation from several other investors, including blockchain-focused groups like Skybridge, DraperDragon, Monke Ventures, and Foresight Ventures. A Kickstarter campaign is also in the works for the near future.
