Anthropic’s Revenue Run Rate Surpasses $65 Billion, Accelerating at Historic Pace

Anthropic’s revenue isn’t just growing at a record-breaking pace—it’s speeding up. According to a Bloomberg report on Monday, the model maker’s annualized revenue run rate—a projection of a full year’s earnings based on a recent, shorter period—surpassed $65 billion by the end of July. That’s a sharp jump from $47 billion in May and a mere $9 billion at the close of last year. Anthropic hasn’t yet responded to our request for comment.
Looking ahead, the company’s investors anticipate this momentum will hold steady through the rest of the year, with projections for 2026 landing between $100 billion and $120 billion, as reported by the Financial Times. Meanwhile, rival OpenAI has seen its revenue double to $40 billion, up from $20 billion at the end of 2025, according to a Bloomberg report last week. While the two firms may calculate their revenue metrics differently, Anthropic’s growth trajectory has captured far more investor enthusiasm than OpenAI’s.
Both companies have filed confidential paperwork for their IPOs, but Anthropic is expected to hit the public markets before OpenAI—possibly as soon as this fall. The Financial Times notes that Anthropic will seek a public valuation of $2 trillion or more, which would mark the largest market debut on record. For context, the company was last valued at $965 billion in late May, following a $65 billion funding round.
