Apple has filed a trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI, and the company is taking a firm stance. The legal complaint outlines a pattern of alleged misconduct that extends all the way to OpenAI’s chief hardware officer, and it claims that over 400 former Apple employees now work at the AI firm. OpenAI’s response so far has been cautious and carefully worded, and the timing of the lawsuit couldn’t be worse for the company, which is reportedly considering an initial public offering as early as later this year.
