At its annual Made on YouTube event, YouTube unveiled a series of new tools for YouTube Studio, the platform creators use to manage their channels, designed to help them analyze their videos and grow their audiences.

Among the updates is the expansion of Ask Studio, YouTube's AI-powered Q&A feature, which is now coming to iOS and Android. There are also new capabilities that offer feedback on drafts and generate dynamic thumbnails. The draft-feedback tool leverages AI to review a creator's unpublished video and suggest improvements related to pacing, structure, and storytelling.

YouTube is additionally rolling out a new research feed within the Studio app that highlights what kinds of content are performing well on the platform, giving creators inspiration they can apply through their own lens.

Creators tend to be very particular about the preview images and titles they choose for their videos. The Studio app will now allow them to generate thumbnails and titles based on a video's content while matching their personal style. A new dynamic thumbnail feature also lets creators produce three options and display each one to a different segment of their audience.

According to YouTube, creators have already run more than 40 million tests on titles and thumbnails using its A/B testing feature. In the near future, the company said, users will be able to test up to three video cuts to determine which opening hook performs best. Later this year, YouTube Studio will also automatically track thumbnail performance and proactively swap one out if it isn't performing well. YouTube further noted that it's upgrading its analytics to move past raw numbers, explaining why videos perform the way they do and offering guidance on how to make content more engaging.

Beyond the Studio app overhaul, YouTube introduced additional tools for creators, including conversational editing in Shorts and the YouTube Create app.
