The internet is facing a growing crisis of trust, and it goes beyond the flood of low-quality AI content filling social media timelines. AI-generated text and images are increasingly showing up in job applications, product reviews, and even insurance claims, leaving platforms and everyday users struggling to separate fact from fiction. In response, a wave of startups has emerged over the past couple of years, aiming to become the "trust layer" the digital world desperately needs—and Pangram is one of them.
The company recently secured $9 million in funding for its AI detection technology and announced a partnership with Substack. Through this collaboration, Pangram’s tools now help readers identify which newsletter authors rely on AI to craft their posts. On top of that, Pangram has just introduced a new tool designed to detect AI-generated images.
