General Intuition Launches With Bezos Backing to Bridge the Gap to AGI Using Gaming Data

When it comes to building artificial general intelligence (AGI), large language models simply don’t cut it. While systems like ChatGPT and Claude excel at processing text, they struggle to grasp how objects actually move through space and time—a crucial ability for creating intelligence that can truly generalize. This shortcoming, however, might be addressed by leveraging gaming data.
That’s the core bet behind General Intuition, a New York-based startup backed by Jeff Bezos. The company, now valued at $2.3 billion, just closed a massive $320 million funding round. New investors include Coatue, Eric Schmidt, and researchers from MIT and Google DeepMind.
